Hello, hello!(:
Since I haven't posted much lately I have some more fall pictures to catch you up with.

These pictures are taken in our own garden. This apple tree has given on many apples through the years despite its size.

Peek-a-book! I hope you're not scared of spiders!

Soon I'll post some pictures and a recipe of a REALLY easy and delicious apple crisp.

You can start looking forward to it(-;

Hey y'all!
I know I haven't posted recently, I have been busy. So I thought I would make a little update!
I really wanna share some fall pictures with you before it's too late...

My sister and I went to the forest to take some picture. Here is an outcast.

I promise I'll try and post more often!(-:

Fall is here

It's September and fall is officially here. I'm not going to hide it; summer is definitely my favorite season of the year. BUT I do have a lot of things to look forward to this fall.

This month is going to be really busy, I already have plans for every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. What I'm looking forward to the most is in October when I'm going to New York with my class. It's going to be awesome! I love the States and miss my friends and host family in Michigan, from when I was an exchange student. Unfortunately I wont be visiting this time around, hopefully next summer. A couple days after I get home from New York I will actually be leaving for Italy. My dad and his girlfriend are running a marathon there and they invited my sister and I to come.

I've already been in school for over three weeks. Time seems to fly by so fast. Even though I don't care for the dark cold mornings that are on their way, there are some good things about fall as well. The other day I took the opportunity to take some of my first fall pictures. That's one good thing about fall; the beautiful, beautiful colours that occur.

All of the sudden fall doesn't seem so bad after all...
If you're like me and fall is not your best friend either, just focus on all the positive things!
Warm soups, hot chocolate, Halloween, pumping carving, apple cider, movie nights... And the stunning fall colours soon to arrive.
Happy fall!(-:

A piece of summer

Even though weather this morning wasn't too great, this evening has just been wonderful. I cought the oppitunity to take a couple photos. Who knows if this is our last real piece of summer?
My summer has been no where close to what I expected, but it has been amazing. I have deffinitely lived by the saying "Carpe diem" or in English "Seize the day" and I loved every moment of it.
I will think back at this summer with a smile.

 I hope you all are having a beautiful day! - Don't forget to smile!(-;

Re-doing with my cool DIY

Hello, everyone out there on this beautiful Sunday afternoon!

I finally decided that it was time for me to create the blog I've been talking about for this past half a year. I don't know why I didn't just go ahead and do it, I guess I was waiting for the right time, but the time is always now...

So, for my first post I wanna share with you a DIY I did a while back, I'm really happy with the result. I had a sort of an abstract poster hanging in my room. As I'm in the process of re-doing my room a little bit, I decided I wanted to do something cool with the poster. In the picture below you see the finished result.
It was really easy to make. All you need is:
1. A poster or painting with colors you like
2. Spray paint (I used white spray paint, but you can use a colour of own choice)
3. A saying, or whatever you want on there
4. Reusable adhesive for the letters to stick
First step is to print out the saying you want and cut it out. I just typed mine into Word and printed it out in really huge letters. Next, you lay out the chosen poster/painting and make sure the cut out letters fit the way you want them to. Attach the letters to the poster with the reusable adhesive.

Now you are ready to spray paint. Since you don't want to breath in or have paint all over it's a good idea to do this step outside.

(It was a little windy out, so we had to put something to hold it)
I wanted my letters to be visible, obviously, but by not spraying it too much it got this kind of dreamy look and you will still be able to see the colours behind. If you want more coverage simply use more spray paint. Once the paint is dry, remove the letters carefully and voila, you've got yourself a beautiful poster/painting.

 I hope you liked my DIY and I hope to see you again! :-)
